Scott Lai is the Head of Events at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He has managed the RSIS Events Unit since 2012, running professional and academic events for the government, diplomatic, academic and corporate sectors. Prior to joining RSIS, Scott was with the Singapore Armed Forces. Starting his career coordinating collection operations in a military intelligence unit, he later took command of an intelligence company managing front-line operations. Scott later moved to the Ministry of Defence of Singapore where he took care of protocol and hospitality for local and foreign VIPs, as well as hospitality operations for major defence events like the Shangri-La Dialogue and the Singapore Airshow. He has a Master of Science in International Relations from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from Monash University, Australia.
