Date: 10-17 September

Place: Berlin, Paris, The Hague and London

CENS Team’s Networking Trip to Europe 01 CENS Team’s Networking Trip to Europe 02 CENS Team’s Networking Trip to Europe 03

Between 10-17 September, a CENS team comprising Associate Professor Kumar Ramakrishna (Head), Senol Yilmaz (ARF), Joseph Franco (ARF) and Jennifer Yang Hui (ARF), visited a number of leading think tanks and university research institutions, and government departments in Berlin, Paris, The Hague, Oslo and London. The aim of the visit was to keep tabs on latest research trends and thinking in Europe in radicalization and resilience studies, strategic and crisis communications, and cybersecurity policy.  Associate Professor Ramakrishna gave talks at the well-known Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI) near Oslo, as well as the Quilliam Foundation, the leading counter-extremism think tank in London. The trip proved very useful in consolidating and expanding the important European node of CENS’ growing global network of leading policy-oriented research centres.
