CENS Participates in International Conference on Engaging Partners for Capacity Building: United Nations’ Collaboration with Counter-Terrorism Centres

Date: 16-17 February 2013
Place: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Prof_ Kumar_130216-17_01

Associate Professor Kumar Ramakrishna (Head) was invited as a speaker and Sulastri Osman (ARF) as participant representing CENS at the International Conference on Engaging Partners for Capacity Building: United Nations’ Collaboration with Counter-Terrorism Centres, a high-level meeting organised by the United Nations Centre for Counter-Terrorism (UNCCT) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on 16 and 17 February 2013. CENS was one of 28 centres worldwide invited to the high-profile event which aims to promote counterterrorism collaborations and synergies among resource institutions, training centres, think tanks and specialised research entities to build up global capacities on issues related to counterterrorism and countering violent extremism. The UNCCT regards CENS a good international resource to tap into for capacity-building efforts and networking in the Southeast Asian region.
