Nur Aziemah Azman is an Associate Research Fellow at the International Centre for Political Violence and Terrorism Research (ICPVTR) at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. As a member of the Informatics desk at the centre, she monitors Arabic extremist websites, translates and analyses extremist contents and materials posted on the Arabic websites. Her areas of research and interest include online extremism, international terrorism, religion and identity, Arabic language and literature, Arabic-English translation and computer-assisted translation tools. She graduated from Al-Azhar University in Egypt with a BA in Islamic and Arabic Studies, majoring in Arabic Language and Literature. She received her Masters in Arabic-English Translation and Computer-assisted Translation Tools at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, UK in 2014. She has travelled to Yemen, Indonesia and East Africa for research on extremism and terrorism. She is fluent in three languages; Malay, English and Arabic.
