Nandhakumar is a Senior Analyst with the Science and Technology Studies Programme (STSP) in the Office of the Executive Deputy Chairman, S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), Nanyang Technological University. His research interests include the intersection between security and science and technology, terrorism in the Asia-Pacific region, and politics in Southeast Asia. He has published a number of articles on novel designer drugs and synthetic biology. Prior to joining RSIS, he worked in the Singapore Civil Service in Singapore Customs and the Ministry of Defence. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree majoring in Political Science from the National University of Singapore, and a Master’s Degree in Strategic Studies with a Certificate in Terrorism Studies from RSIS.
