Amalina Abdul Nasir is a Research Analyst at the International Centre for Political Violence and Terrorism Research (ICPVTR) at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. As a member of the Southeast Asia desk in ICPVTR, Amalina assesses terrorist threats and trends in the Southeast Asia (SEA) region, particularly Singapore, and its evolving nature of terrorism and radicalization. Her current areas of research and interests include radicalization process, preventing and countering violent extremism and terrorism and extremism in the SEA region. Amalina was appointed by the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore as a member of the Asatizah Youth Network; an initiative to tackle youth and online radicalization. She graduated from Singapore Management University (SMU), with a double major in Sociology and Corporate Communication. She is fluent in three languages: Malay, English and Arabic. Amalina is currently attaining Postgraduate Degree in Strategic Studies in RSIS.
