Sri Lanka: Options in the Face of Sino-US Rivalry
Rathindra Kuruwita, a Journalist and Researcher who holds a MSc in Strategic Studies from RSIS, discussed Sri Lankan foreign policy in an opinion piece. The country’s foreign policy over the last 15 years, especially after the end of the civil war in 2009, can be described as a series of desperate attempts to balance the interests of major powers that have a keen interest of the country, which is strategically located at the heart of the Indian Ocean, he said.
