Chris Cheang, Senior Fellow at RSIS, discussed the outbreak of hostilities in September over the Nagorno-Karabakh, a disputed territory between Armenia and Azerbaijan. After political unrest in Belarus, the ongoing conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan over Nagorno-Karabakh and the sudden political upheaval in Kyrgyzstan appear, at first glance, to threaten Russia’s foremost position in the former Soviet space, he said.
