In a commentary, Rohan Gunaratna, Professor of Security Studies at RSIS, said although Islamist terror groups continue to dominate the threat landscape, ultra-nationalist politics also creates new risks such as polarising communities which makes some vulnerable to greater radicalisation and violence.
