Bukit Aman is staying on high alert over the terror threat and the Special Branch Counter Terrorism Division may be expanded to handle the growing menace.

In the wake of the Brussels terror attack by the Islamic State (IS) that left 34 people dead and more than 200 injured, the Inspector-General of Police drove home the point that the threat was real, no matter what some detractors may say.
