Understanding the Massacres in Tunisia, France and Kuwait

Last Friday (June 26) the world was shocked by a series of terror attacks in France, Tunisia and Kuwait. Islamic State extremists were quick to claim responsibility for the attacks in Tunisia and Kuwait – a mass shooting at a beach resort and a mosque bombing respectively.

On a special episode on Channel NewsAsia’s INSIGHT called Black Friday, Dr Mohd Nawab Mohd Osman and Mr James Michael Dorsey of the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies help explain the shifting trends of terror, and the appeal of these groups that influences many to take up arms.
