Is the Arab Coalition Really Containing Iranian Influence in Yemen?
In a regular survey of experts on matters relating to Middle Eastern and North African politics and security, Ahmed Salah Hashim, an associate professor at RSIS, said that the war in Yemen, which the coalition undertook for a wide variety of reasons, not least of which was the obvious fact of runaway Houthi victories, has actually provided Iran with the ability to support a low-cost war against two of its bitterest foes, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
