RSIS research fellow Muhammad Faizal Bin Abdul Rahman and former intern Russell Huang wrote that Britain’s decision for Huawei to play a restricted role in developing the country’s 5G wireless network showed that countries in the Asia-Pacific need to navigate inevitable trade-offs in selecting their 5G technology suppliers.
