Singapore Must Get Smart on Malaysia Border Security
RSIS research fellow Muhammad Faizal bin Abdul Rahman commented that the additional time that Malaysia needs to weigh its options before proceeding with the Kuala Lumpur–Singapore High-Speed Rail and the Johor Bahru–Singapore Rapid Transit System projects provides Singapore with a window of opportunity to review the comprehensiveness of the projects’ cross-border security plans. This review would be instrumental in safeguarding Singapore’s homeland security in the long-term.
