The title of my presentation will be: China under Xi Jinping: Trends in Chinese Political Economy and Foreign Policy

China has been under Xi Jinping’s rule for nearly a decade now. How has Xi transformed China politically and economically? How do we understand China’s foreign relations from the perspectives of its domestic political economy? In response to these questions, this presentation argues that the growth of political authoritarianism in the country has brought significant challenges for China’s socio-economic development and its foreign policy.
