The University provides research scholarships to candidates with outstanding academic records to enable them to pursue Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programmes by research on full-time basis.

Applications for scholarships are opened together with application for admission. There is no separate application from for Scholarships.

• Nanyang President's Graduate Scholarship
• NTU Research Scholarship
• Alumni Scholarship

Please note that the application for the Nanyang President's Graduate Scholarships (for Aug 10) will be opened in 1 Nov 2009 to 31 Jan 2010.

RSIS also offers a limited number of research scholarships for prospective candidates intending to work in any of the following areas:

• Terrorism
• Maritime Security
• Civil and Internal Conflict
• Strategic Studies
• International Political Economy
