Expert Calls for Code of Conduct in South China Sea

An expert today called for a code of conduct in the South China Sea following the recent near clash of US and Chinese destroyers in the area. RSIS Dean of comparative and international politics Joseph Liow, said, “The recent incident drives home the importance of establishing norms, or a code of conduct, to prevent unplanned encounters.”
