In an online commentary, Prashant Waikar, a Research Analyst with the Malaysia Programme at RSIS, said that the United Malays National Organisation (Umno) is using a strategy that seems to be painting post-GE14 Malaysia as a fertile ground for the normalisation of Islamophobia and ‘Melayufobia’ (Malay-phobia), with Pakatan Harapan to be blamed for this.
