Identify Root Causes of Religious Extremism: Minister

“THE strategy to fight religious extremism should start by identifying the root causes that encourages individuals to become fundamentalists and drive them to involve in extremists groups that threaten national security and public order.”

This was highlighted by Minister of Home Affairs, Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman at the panal discussion on ‘Innovative Strategies to Reintegration’ in Singapore.

… The two-day seminar, organised by S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies with the support of the Government of Singapore through the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was officiated by Teo Chee Hean on April 16 to 17 by the Prime Minister of Singapore, Lee Hsien Loong at Religious Rehabilitation Group Centre (RRG).
